Windows Install Guide

Since Cardinote is newly in beta, you may encounter the following message when running the installer. Simply follow the steps below to resume installation. Installing Cardinote will not put your computer at risk.

  1. Click "More Info".

    Click "More Info" on Windows SmartScreen message.

  2. Click "Run anyway". Installation will resume normally.

What does the message mean?

Microsoft Defender SmartScreen protects you from suspicious apps downloaded from the internet. Brand new apps often appear as false positives. As app installs accumulate over time, the message will turn off by itself. You can safely ignore this message for Cardinote.
